* There are so many activities for each and every military base that we’re asking for your help and listing them. So please tell us what you think the next person PCSing to your location should know about activities on or off base for you and your family.
*Los Angeles has something for everyone, from swimming in the ocean to snow skiing in the mountains.
*There are many community programs for military individuals and families. Torrance, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, and El Segundo, and Long Beach have recreation departments that offer swimming, trips, instructional classes and summer camp activities. Rolling Hills Estates has an Equestrian center.
*Tickets and Information has discounts for entrance to Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios and other amusement parks. Services also provides seasonal events such as holiday parties, Voks Sport Events, Super Bowl Sundays and a Fourth of July Celebration. San Pedro Chamber of Commerce sponsors A Taste of San Pedro every summer.
