Family Child Care (FCC)

Spouses living on base are encouraged to consider becoming licensed providers for the Family Child Care program.

This program offers an alternative to families who would like to offer their child to participate in a home like environment with smaller adult to child ratios. Providers are able to accommodate the various work schedules of parents by offering not only full time care, but part time care, drop-in services and weekend and evening care.

Providers receive extensive training in Child Development, Positive Guidance Techniques, CPR, First Aid, Health, Safety, Fire Prevention, Nutrition, Reporting of Child Abuse and Food Handling before obtaining a license. Additional monthly training is ongoing.

FCC Homes are monitored by the FCC Coordinator.
