Description
Availability - Rooms are available in Visiting Airman Quarters (VAQ), Visiting Officer Quarters (VOQ), and the Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF). The TLF's all have separate cooking facilities. Rooms are reserved for Priority 1 customers first, those on PCS or TDY orders, and any excess rooms are available on a space available basis. The availability of rooms varies with the highest demand during the summer months. PCS and TDY personnel are encouraged to make reservations as early as possible to ensure a trouble free and uninterrupted stay. Hotels in the local area are quite numerous, however, demand is high and rooms are scarce during the summer.
Barksdale lodging is open 24 hours. If space is not available on-base and you are on official orders to Barksdale AFB, you may ask to stay in one of the local hotels or motels under Memorandum of Agreement. Lodging can reached at 318-456-3091 or DSN 312-781-3091.

Policies
Reservations - Lodging will accept and confirm reservations for Priority 2(space available), personnel 3 days in advance of their arrival. Reservations may be confirmed for up to a 5 day stay, space permitting. Space available personnel in the grades of O-6 and above and E-9, requiring Distinguished Visitor Quarters should request reservations through base protocol.
Pets- Pet friendly rooms are available upon request. If these rooms are not available for the time you request a reservation, you may try again later, or we will be happy to provide a list of kennels available in the area for you to board your pets. Pets are not allowed in any other lodging facilities. Guests with pets in rooms not designated as pet friendly will be asked to vacate the quarters and will be held liable for cleaning fees. Please check with the facility for any fees that may apply for housing your pet(s).
