Registering Vehicles on Base
Every vehicle must have proof of insurance, whether or not the state in which it is registered requires it.
Insurance
Vehicle insurance coverage is mandatory in the state of Colorado. It must be verified at the time of vehicle registration. The mandatory liability minimum in Colorado Springs is $25,000 bodily injury, $50,000 per accident, and $15,000 property damage.
Speed Limit on Base -- Unless otherwise posted, the maximum speed limit on Schriever AFB is 25 mph. Pedestrians have the right of way in all cases. All base traffic regulations are strictly enforced.
