- Child Development Center (CDC)
- The Schriever Child Development Center is located at 60 Hahn Ave., Bldg. 60 Schriever AFB, CO 80912 and can be reached at 719-567-4742.
- The philosophy behind the CDC's curriculum is that young children learn best by doing. Learning is not just repeating what someone else says; it requires active thinking and experimenting to learn firsthand about the world we live in.
- Eligibility
- Eligible patrons include active-duty military personnel assigned to any installation in the area, as well as Department of Defense civilians paid with appropriated or non-appropriated funds and full-time DOD contractors working at Schriever
- Programs Offered
- The Schriever AFB Child Development Center offers full day and hourly care programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The CDC can support up to 270 children. Hourly care is offered on a space-available basis. Call the CDC for information and procedures for utilizing the hourly care program.
- Hours of Operation
- The center is open Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Closed on all Federal Holidays.
- Registration
- Individuals with Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to Schriever may request childcare by contacting the CDC by phone. Immunization records must be verified upon registration.
