Activities
There are so many activities for each and every military base that we’re asking for your help and listing them. So please tell us what you think the next person PCSing to your location should know about activities on or off base for you and your family.
There are two fitness centers on Schriever AFB. The main Fitness Center has cardiovacular equipment, strength training and conditioning equipment, aerobics and spinning classes along with indoor basketball courts. They offer a variety of special sporting activities and tournaments throughout the year. The annex has two racquetball courts and a weight room. Surrounding the racquetball courts are a tennis court, a basketball court and a volleyball pit.
ITT, the Schriever Information, Ticket, and Tours office, located in Bldg 300, is open 0800-1600, Monday thru Friday, and provides a variety of information and services including tickets for purchase for local attractions, sporting events, and concerts. They also have Schriever AFB sweatshirts, T-shirts and other items available for sale.
The Satellite Dish Dining Facility operates on an a-la-carte system and is open to all military and DoD civilian personnel assigned to Schriever. Military have priority in the dining hall from 1100 hrs to 1200 hrs. No civilians or will be allowed at this time.
There are three annual events at Schriever for children and family members of military, DoD Civilians and contractors.
Spring Fling, a fun-filled day that includes an egg hunt, crafts, activities and games. This event is usually held in April.
The annual Base Picnic is an opportunity for family members to come out to the base for a day of food and activities for everyone.
The Children's Holiday Party is held in December with activities and food for children of all ages.
