Child Care
Child Development Center (CDC)
The Child Development Center at NAS Meridian offers many child development programs. The Meridian CDC is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Child Care programs are offered for children from ages one through five. The age groups are separated into three different class levels: Pre-toddler, Toddler, and Pre-school. There are services available for children with special needs, which will be allocated as the case requires. There are no eligibility requirements for registration or enrollment. The Meridian CDC’s services are year-round for registered students. Fees associated with registration are based on each family’s household income. As a result of this, the price for enrollment of the children varies. There is a waiting list for each class level, so be sure to contact the CDC as soon as possible to get a child in the class before relocating. Additionally, the CDC provides “drop-in” care -- care for children paid for by the hour. The rate at the Meridian CDC is $10 per hour. Please note if any child is picked up late (beyond the hour of scheduled pick-up) an additional $5 will be required for each hour that the parent is late.

SAC provides a safe environment where parents who work can drop their children off before work and pick them up afterward. The school bus picks the children up from SAC in the morning, takes them to school and brings them back in the afternoon. Hours of operation accommodate the local school calendar. During the summer months and holidays, SAC offers day camps with a variety of activities including learning, games, swimming, and field trips.
