Activities

There are many things to do and see during your off-duty time year-round in Northern New York.

North Country community events reflect the varied seasons and celebrate traditions you may not see anywhere else.

Spring brings everyone out for ice cream socials, fishing, golf, baseball, childrens sports and the Farmer's Market.

Summer is filled with fairs, festivals, fireworks, picnics, camping, car races, and water sports.

Autumn months bring a variety of events to include the Bravo Italiano festival, Woodmen's Days, leaf peeking tours, trips to the cider mill, and harvest dinners and dances.

Winter months are packed with things to do snowmobile races, skiing, and community events celebrate the "great outdoors" even during winter.  Visit a sugarbush where maple sap is boiled into Maple Syrup, go ice fishing with your family, sledding with your children.  The community of Saranac Lake (in the Adirondacks 90 minutes away) builds an Ice Castle every year in February with ice taken from Lake Flower.  A sight to see along with a weekend full of activities to include fireworks.

If you're the "indoor type" don't worry there are plenty of events for you too!
