Housing Services Office
The Housing Services Office (HSO) is a branch of The Fort Belvoir Residential Communities Liaison Office. The HSO is located at 9851 Harding Place Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 Phone 703-805-3019/3018 Fax 703-805-3061.
The overall goal of the Housing Services Office is to implement and maintain a high quality worldwide resource for relocation services that is innovative, comprehensive and the first choice of information and support when Soldiers and families relocate. These services include but are not limited to; home buying and selling support, rental property listings, temporary housing listings, off-post quality housing inspections, in and out-processing, permissive temporary duty (PTDY) stamp, lease review, landlord and tenant mediation, and advocacy.
Fort Belvoir is located in Fairfax County, VA. However, military families may live in surrounding counties including Alexandria, Arlington, Prince William, Prince George's, Frederick, Montgomery and Stafford counties.
On-Post Housing
The Villages at Belvoir's mission is to provide family housing to military families assigned to Fort Belvoir and within the Greater Washinton D.C. Metropolitan Area, who apply for and are eligible for housing on the installation.
The Villages at Belvoir is comprised of new, historic, and traditional housing in 15 distinct villages. Nestled among the tall evergreens and mature trees along the Potomac River, the family communities exhibit the riverside personality and rich history of Fort Belvoir.
As a resident of The Villages at Belvoir, you have access to five state-of-the-art Community Centers that offer you free Internet access copying and faxing services, along with free meeting and party facilities. The community offers residents free use of a community pool along with two fitness centers, picnic pavilions, basketball and volleyball courts, green spaces, a dog park, fitness trails, and playgrounds that are present throughout the Villages. You will also enjoy the family events, such as barbecues and movie nights, held throughout the year.
Living on-post affords quality of life with gyms, pools, a marina, golf course, field house, and skate park all close to home and work. Walk to the Village Commons, the first ever mixed-use development on an Army post, to enjoy a cup of fresh coffee or shop at one of the retail shops.
Two, three, four and five bedroom homes are available. All homes offer electric washer/dryer connections, dishwashers, refrigerators, and high-speed Internet connection. New and renovated homes are ENERGY STAR certified and boast at least three bedrooms and two full baths, nine-foot ceilings on the first floor, 42" cabinets, Corian countertops and ceiling fans.

Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (Troop Housing)
Currently all personnel authorized BAQ at the without dependent rate in the Pay Grade of E5 and below are required to live in the Barracks.
McRee Barracks is Fort Belvoir's Unaccompanied Personnel Housing Facility. It consists of 6 buildings with 404 rooms and seven laundry/day rooms. Located on the North Post, it is convenient to the Dining Facility, PX and Concessions, Woods Theater, Fitness Centers, Swimming Pools and the Post Chapel.
New arrivals using this service must report to the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing office located in building 2105A by 9:00 a.m. on the next duty day.
