Surrounding communities include Las Cruces, Mesilla and Alamorgordo, New Mexico, El Paso Texas and Juarez, Mexico.
Please see detailed entries for monthly schedule of events. White Sands Missile Range has access to many military and civic organizations throughout the surrounding community. Area denominations: Within the outlying communities of Las Cruces, Alamogordo and El Paso. There is a wide variety of services for most faiths. See Overview. There are many activities that vary - from one-time occasions to regular events. Check with YS to see what is happening now. Recreation and Sports programs vary with the seasons. There is a multi-faceted program that takes advantage of the interests and abilities available. Call to sign up for current events or to express interest in establishing something new. Although our numbers are low, we have an outstanding success rate. Volunteers are welcome! A plethora of activities is provided for young people on the installation through the Post Chapel. Sunday School, Catholic Religious Education classes, After School program, Choir, High School Youth Ministry, and Full Moon Walks at the National Monument are some of the available programs. Youth Services provides an innovative and varied calendar of events. .
