- Public School
- The Houston County school system educates more than 27,000 K-12 students on 38 campuses. Students excel in many areas, outperforming state and national test averages.
- Robins AFB is located in Houston County and offers parents a variety of education options to include, public school, private school, and homeschool options. There is no longer a DoD elementary school on Robins AFB. Families who reside in Houston County and choose public education for their children will attend a Houston County Board of Education (HCBOE) School. Members with school aged children who have an assignment to Robins AFB are highly encouraged to visit the Robins AFB School Liaison Officer's website. - Enrollment Procedures
- All new students enroll for school at the Central Registration office. At this one-stop-shop, parents register their child(ren) and obtain information on the services offered whether the student is regular education, gifted and talented or special needs. They will also be provided information on transportation regarding the bus stops, bus number and schedule. Parents are encouraged to complete the necessary forms in advance to bring along with the items required for registration such as proof of address. These forms and a list of required items may be found on the Houston County Board of Education website, on the Central Registration link. The website also has other pertinent information such as answers to anticipated questions. Central Registration is located in the Bert Rumble Complex at 303 South Davis Drive in Warner Robins.
- The following items are required for registration:
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Guardianship/Custody Orders if the child does not live with his natural parents
- Two Proofs of Residency- Lease or Mortgage plus one of the following:
- Utility bill (electric, water or cable bill)
- Property tax statement or income tax statement
- Automobile registration or insurance
- Mail from any government agency
- Social Security Card
- Ear, Eye and Dental Screening, Georgia Form 3300 (available from a doctor or the Health Department)
- Immunization Certificate, Georgia Form 3231 (available from a doctor or the Health Department)
- School Records and Last Report Card, if transferring from another school system
- Under the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission guideline, military families will have 30 days from the date of enrollment to obtain any immunization required. A child enrolling in a Georgia school for the first time at any grade level must be age-appropriately immunized with all required vaccines. Required the Hepatitis B vaccine, two doses of measles-containing vaccine, and Varicella vaccine (unless child has had chicken pox).
- Vaccinations and vaccination records may be obtained from the Houston County Health Department or from a private physician. Please note that the immunization record must be on an official form provided by the Georgia Department of Human Resources (Form 3231).
- School Zoning
- Students residing in the Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF) will attend the following Houston County public schools:
- Grades Pre-K through 5: Linwood Elementary School
- Grades 6 through 8: Huntington Middle School
- Grades 9 through 12: Warner Robins High School

- Transportation Services
- The Transportation Department provides approximately 15,000 students with daily bus service to 38 schools. The department's mission is to deliver students to and from school in a safe and efficient manner so that they are ready to learn each day. The 193 drivers and 60 monitors cover 181 routes. On average, each driver completes two routes twice a day. The fleet contains 237 buses.
- Bus service for students attending their home schools is provided from bus stops at specific locations. Any student may walk to the stop closest to his or her home. Bus service for students attending special education classes outside their home schools will be provided by the Board of Education as noted on the student's Individual Education Plan. Bus stops are assigned by the nearest practical route if the distance to the school is one and one-half miles or more. Stops are designated by the Transportation Department and based on distance to the next stop and safety of the location for pickup. Bus routes and school zones are located on the HCBOE website.
- Nutrition Program
- The school nutrition program in Houston County serves 20,740 lunches, 8,439 breakfasts and 330 snacks each day. All schools offer a variety of nutritious menus each day.
- Elementary School Level - Elementary students may choose from four to five lunch entrée choices. Fresh salads, a variety of fruits and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly or ham sandwiches are also available.
- Middle School Level - Middle school students may choose from six to eight lunch entrée choices each day. The food court design includes daily offerings of pizza, blue-plate specials, baked potato with toppings, and soup/salad and sandwich.
- High School Level - High school students are offered a minimum of ten lunch entrée choices each day. The food court design includes theme lines with pizza, hot grilled sandwiches, blue-plate specials, super salads galore, spicy Mexican and deli sandwiches. Students may also purchase brown bag specials to eat outside.
- After School Program
- The Houston County After School Program provides quality supervision for children enrolled in Pre-k through fifth grade until 6:00 p.m. each day that school is in session. The program complements the school day and enhances the skills and concepts being learned in school. Time is allocated for teacher-assisted homework. Enrichment activities that encourage creativity and computer activities that develop thinking skills are important program components.
- Private School

- Adult Education
- There are several local colleges and universities in the Warner Robins and surrounding area. The Base Education Office provides a multitude of educational services for all active duty military personnel and their families.
