Legal Services

The Robins AFB Legal Office provides assistance to active duty military members and their families, retired military members and their families, members of the Guard (Title 10 status only), and members of the Reserves on active duty orders. General legal advice is available by both appointment and at walk-in times. You may schedule an appointment by calling 478-926-9276 or DSN 312-468-9276.

Legal Assistance

Provides legal consultations and services for an array of civil matters (i.e. divorce, wills, child support, etc.).  Walk-in hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All other times require an appointment. 

Notary Service

Available at the Legal Office (Building 708) to notarize your documents from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday. No appointment is necessary.

Powers of Attorney

You may complete a Power of Attorney (POA) Worksheet online and selecting Legal Worksheets. Once completed, a ticket number will be generated. Bring the ticket number with you to the Legal Assistance Office so your POA may be retrieved and prepared. POA worksheets may also be picked up at the Legal Office, and must be completed before the POA can be prepared. Then just stop by the Legal Assistance Office, Bldg 708, at any of the following times and the POA will be prepared and notarized  on the spot. POAs are prepared  Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Claims Briefing

Claims documents may be picked up at the Claims Office, Building 708, on a walk-in basis from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday. When you pick up your documents, one of our claims examiners will brief you on the proper procedures for submitting your claim against the government. Household Goods claims are no longer filed with the Claims Office. These claims are filed directly with the carrier first within 9 months from the date of delivery at full replacement value. If the carrier denies your claim, or if you are unsatisfied with their offer, you may file with the Air Force Claims Service Center at depreciated value.  

You should turn-in your DD Form 1840R directly to the carrier (within 75 days of delivery). If you need help tracking down the contact information for the carrier, you may stop my the Claims Office for assistance.

Last Will & Testament 

If you need a new will or simply want to update your existing will, stop by the Legal Assistance Office for a worksheet. Once completed, a ticket number will generate. The  Legal Office will need the ticket number to access the worksheet. Contact the Legal Office to schedule a time to meet with an attorney. If you would like a Living Will, or other medical related powers of attorney, Legal can take care of this during the appointment for the Last Will & Testament.

The Victim/Witness Program

This program is supported by an advocate in the Legal Office and supports victims and/or witnesses of any crime.

Labor Law, Military Justice, General Law, and Environmental Law are located in Building 215.
