Reporting Procedures
Military members entering Gate 3, open 24 hours a day, will be directed to the INTRO Office, during duty hours, in Building 767; or to the 24-hour arrival point in Building 557, the Lodging Office. The first full duty day after arrival, your sponsor should take you to your unit's orderly room. The orderly room will schedule an appointment for in-processing. Bring all hand carried records with you for in-processing.
Civilians being assigned to Robins AFB should report to their assigned Commond Support Staff office. For more information, please visit the Civilian Personnel Office, Building 376, You may contact the office at DSN 312-472-0601 or 478-222-0601.
You will need to bring 2 copies of your orders to your current Finance customer service no earlier than 30 days prior to your out-processing so that your financial records can be updated for your PCS move. Your finance office will also brief you on your authorized PCS financial entitlements to include BAS, BAH, Direct Deposit, Advance Pay, Per Diem, Mileage, Dislocation Allowance, and Temporary Lodging Expense. It is important to keep all receipts for filing your travel voucher upon arrival. If you have any questions contact your serving Finance office to assist you with any PCS entitlements. NOTE: You must receive concurrent travel approval from the gaining commander when taking family members to the new duty station.
Sponsorship
The most important person to you during your move is your Sponsor. If you have not received one, contact your Commander's Support Staff or Military Personnel Flight Customer Service at your losing base and ask that they request one for you. Your sponsor will be instrumental in making your arrangements, answering your questions and meeting you personally.
Married Service Members
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
Documents to Hand Carry
Hand carry during your PCS your family record file along with copies of your orders, phone numbers of family/friends, duplicates of car/other important keys, home inventory of household goods plus pictures and receipts, and medical and dental records.
Travel Planning
Contact Robins AFB Lodging to make reservations in advance of your arrival, DSN 312-468-2100 or 478-926-2100. Pets are allowed in some Robins AFB Lodging if available for an additional fee of $10.
Forwarding Address - General Delivery Address for Robins AFB, 740 Macon St., RAFB, GA 31098. If you forwarded your mail to the general delivery address, recipients at Robins must check for mail at the Post Office, 740 Macon Street. Robins temporary lodgers can receive general delivery mail at the post office.
After Arrival at Robins AFB
Your sponsor should arrange to meet you upon arrival. If not, contact your sponsor upon arrival; your sponsor will be instrumental assisting with your arrangements, answering your questions and meeting you personally.
Traffic Management Flight Inbound Personal Property
If you shipped personal property to Robins AFB, and have not notified the inbound section of TMO upon your arrival, you must notify the TMO at 478-222-0100 immediately. Upon the arrival of your shipment, the TMO has two hours to arrange delivery or to place shipments in storage. Prompt notification is necessary to avoid unnecessary storage and extra handling. A delay in notifying the TMO can result in weeks of undue hardship for you and your family waiting for household goods.
Temporary Household Goods Items Loaned Out
PCSing active duty members and DoD civilians may borrow basic household items (dishpacks, tables and chairs, etc.) while waiting for their departure or upon arrival to Robins AFB. The Loan Closet is located within Outdoor Recreation, Building. 914. Newcomers may contact Outdoor Recreation at 478-926-4001 or DSN 468-4001 for more information and items available. Most of these items may be checked out for a period of 30 days. Be sure to bring a copy of your PCS orders.
Also, check in with the Robins Housing Office for information on temporary and permanent housing.
Child Care for PCS
Robins offers the Child Care for PCS program, which will pay for 20 hours of day care per child within 60 days of arrival to Robins. Please check in with the Airman and Family Readiness Center's Relocation Program in Building 794 to receive your certificate for childcare. Please provide 1 copy of your orders.
Claims
If you have damage to your household goods shipment, you may file the loss/damage report directly with the carrier or you may file it online with the Air Force Claims Service Center. If you are having difficulty locating the contact information for the carrier, you may contact the Legal Office from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday. You have 75 days from the delivery of your household goods shipment to file a claim. Do not let the 75 day period slip away. Claims Office 478-926-9276.
