Child Development Center (CDC)
The CDC is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs and the National Association of Education and Young Children. We provide high-quality early childhood programs in a safe and nurturing, home-like environment, while promoting the development and growth of children entrusted to our care.
Eligibility - The Child Development Center staff at Moody provides fulltime care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old, of active duty military, Department of Defense civilians paid by either NAF or APF, Reservists on active duty or during active duty training and Department of Defense Contractors.
Enrolling Your Child - Full-time day care can be reserved by filling out an application at the CDC. The program may have a waiting list for some age groups; if immediate care is not available for your child (ages 2 weeks - 12 years), patrons can fill out a DD Form 2606, Request for Child Care. This form can be filled out either at the Child Development Center, Family Child Care or Youth Programs. The CDC maintains a centralized waiting list for the Family Members Program Flight. Upon completion of the DD Form 2606 your form will also be forwarded to the Family Quality Child Care Office. Staff will update this form monthly to inform you of your child's status on the waiting list. If the CDC staff calls you about a vacant slot in any of the programs you will have 24 hours to respond to the request.
Fees - CDC weekly rates are based on total family income. Upon enrollment at the CDC you will be asked to bring in your most recent leave and earnings statement/pay statement. The staff will fill out a DD form 2652 for income verification.
