Inprocessing Procedures

Military members must begin their in-processing by signing in with their Command Staff. The Command Staff will send them to the Military Personnel Section (MPS) Customer Service Office who will then set them up for many mandatory and voluntary appointments throughout the installation. All 1st duty station airmen will be scheduled to attend the First Term Airmen Center (FTAC) upon arrival at the MPS Customer Service Office.?Civilians need to report to the Civilian Personnel Office (CPO) upon arrival. The CPO will provide them a list of appointments they are to schedule for themselves for in-processing purposes and then will send them to the payroll office.

For those flying in, you will land at the Great Falls International Airport (this airport is not very large). If your sponsor is not there to meet you, and it is before 4:30 pm weekdays, contact command post, 406-731-3801, to be put through to your Unit so that they may send someone to pick you up. If it is after 4:30 pm, we recommend you take a taxi to the billeting office on the installation (be sure to get a receipt for reimbursement purposes when filing your travel voucher). For those driving in, the first stop is the main gate. Explain to the security police that you've just arrived, and they will provide you with directions to the Malmstrom Inn. Ensure you have current insurance and registration on your vehicle.

When you arrive, the Malmstrom Inn, our lodging office and 24-hour arrival point, will help you contact your sponsor (if you haven't already), and provide you with temporary lodging if you need it. If you do not have a sponsor, or if your sponsor cannot be contacted, the lodging office clerk will notify your unit that sponsorship assistance is needed. They'll also try to answer any of your questions.
