Temporary Lodging Facility
Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, formerly known as the family Transient Housing, provides temporary quarters for personnel on TAD/TDY. Families who are transferring on PCS orders are also welcome to utilize these facilities. Stays are limited to 30 days for all in-bound personnel on orders and 10 day for out-bound personnel.
Amenities
Navy Gateway Inns & Suites consists of a newly renovated building that holds a total of 88 rooms in the facility. The room consists of a microwave, mini refrigerator, 37" flat screen TV, Kuerigs Coffee makers, cable with HBO, and free wireless internet service. There are three types of rooms available that consists of a standard, suite, and VIP. The facilities include a self service laundry facility that is free of charge, available vending and ice machines for in house guests.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Reservations
Reservations can be made through via the internet simply by using the www.dodlodging.net website. If you don't have a computer, using the 1-800-navy-bed will also connect you to reservationist who may help you in making any reservations. If you prefer to speak with someone at the facility, simply by calling us at 361-516-6321, a front desk associate would gladly help you with your reservations or answer any questions you may have about the facility.
Hours of operations for Navy Gateway Inns and Suites are currently Monday through Sunday 24 hours a day. If the lines are busy when calling for a reservations, we apologize for the slight inconvenience; however, by leaving your name and phone number on the automated answering machine we will gladly return your phone call promptly.
Bachelor Enlisted Quarters
Two modern buildings provide living accommodation for up to 362 enlisted men and women on station. Both buildings are air conditioned and contain a variety of beverage and snack food items from the vending machines in the lounge areas.
Bachelor Officer Quarters
The BOQ can house 34 officers in air conditioned rooms in Bldg 2700 and another 14 in air conditioned rooms in Bldg 3730W.
Members who know they will need berthing while they are awaiting housing or an apartment should make reservations through the BOQ office. In addition, special-needs such as a crib or roll-a-way bed should be mentioned.
Dining Facilities
The Club is located in the same general vicinity as the Navy Exchange, "The Club" (better known at Kingsville as The Captain's Club) is not serving food until further notice. The Bowling Center contain a small fast-food restaurant called SPINZ serving pizza, chicken wings, subs etc.
There is a Subway sandwich shop next to the commissary (361) 592-8900. Otherwise there are plenty of off-base restaurants / fast foods just 10 minutes away.
