Some of the best kept secrets in the Army are here at Fort Jackson's Community Activities. When it comes to recreation and leisure, our facilities have something for everyone, from boats and camp sites to a fitness facility and Golf Club comparable to any civilian club. You will find our programs and activities committed to quality and service and aimed towards making your tour at Fort Jackson a pleasant one. All services are available to active duty military, retirees, Reservists, National Guard members, family members and DOD civilian employees. PALMETTO FALLS, Ft. Jackson has a state-of-the-art water park! Located near the Community Activities Center (CAC), this facility has everything you've ever found at a commercial water park.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CENTER (PH:803-751(DSN734)-6947)
Our Communities Activities Center, a state-of-the-art facility located on Strom Thurmond Blvd. is known as the CAC, but has also been re-named for a former commander of Ft. Jackson. So, the CAC is also known, as well, at the Solomon Center. The CAC/Solomon Center hosts a variety of health and fitness programs, special interest classes and craft workshops. Also featured is a retail sales gift shop, Information Tour and Travel, Videorama and 14,500 square feet of conference and all-purpose meeting rooms. The CAC is the home for classes on dance, home improvement, crafts and more. The CAC offers exercise areas with free weights, cardiovascular equipment, an indoor walking/running track and a full aerobic program. With its spacious 3,000 seat capacity, ceremonial events, concerts and Army Soldier Shows can be hosted. The CAC is an enhancement to the existing scenic landscape of the Fort Jackson Community.
GOLF CLUB (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-4437)
The Fort Jackson Golf Club is a 36-hole complex featuring two championship golf courses, a beautiful clubhouse including a well stocked pro shop, dining areas, lounges and locker rooms. The Golf Club is open to active duty military, retirees, Reservists, National Guard members, family members and DOD civilians. A complete range of facilities and services are available to the golfer including a spacious driving range, pitching, chipping and putting greens, and lessons and clinics taught by our PGA staff. The Wildcat course, nominated for Golf Digest's "America's Best New Course" in 1993, has generous fairways through rolling terrain. The Old Hickory Course is routed around several lakes and wetland areas. There are intramural and youth golf leagues and many tournaments throughout the year from which golfers can choose.
NCO/ENLISTED CLUB (PH: 803-782-2218)
The NCO Club is open to all enlisted personnel (active duty, students, retired, Reserves, National Guard and DOD employees GS-6 and below). The Club offers a variety of delicious food, beverages and great entertainment. The Club's dining room service offers a lunch buffet Monday through Friday with a wide selection of your favorite foods, Graduation dinner on Wednesday, and Friday night dinner specials that will please the most demanding taste buds. We also feature superb holiday buffets for Easter and Mother's Day. Catch the latest sporting games "live" on Fort Jackson's only satellite and interactive game system in the Liberty Lounge or socialize with your friends in the Top Spot Lounge. Regularly scheduled entertainment is available in both lounges. Try your luck at Big Bucks Bingo every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. The NCO/Enlisted Club has given away more than $500,000 in prize money this last alone. There is a guaranteed payout of over $4,000 nightly, with possible winnings exceeding $22,000 during each event. If it's musical entertainment you're looking for, the NCO Club has something for everyone from oldies and variety to disco. In addition, The Club will host a number of special events such as Comedy Jam, Boss Night and live entertainment. Comedy jam is every Wednesday night. The NCO/Enlisted Club presents a full range of catering and banquet services for hosting your special event. There are no events too large or small that they cannot plan and prepare for your recreational enjoyment.
MAGRUDERS SPORTS PUB & GRILL (PH:803-790-0064)
Open 7 days a week offering a great short order menu. Steak night every Monday night. KARAOKE every Wednesday night. View five NFL games on DSS television. Magruders is operated by and is an NCO Club annex.
OFFICERS' CLUB (PH:803-751(DSN734)-4906)
The Officers' Club is a membership club open to officers active duty, retired, Reserves and National Guard) and DOD employees, GS-7 and above, NF 03 and above. Regular events offered at the Officer's Club include Birthday Salute, a special night set aside each month to recognize members' birthdays with a free prime rib dinner and entertainment, Mongolian BBQ and Sunday Brunch. The Winner's Circle, our new sports bar, has a delectable menu you are sure to enjoy. We also offer outstanding holiday buffets at affordable prices. Also, as one of your membership benefits, you and your family receive free use of the legion Swimming pool. Don't forget, the officers' Club is available for catering and banquet services. We will be happy to help you make any function special. The dining room offers a Southern Style Buffet on Tuesdays, 'a la carte Hickory's dining Wed-Fri and lunch buffet Tuesday through Friday 1130-1315.
AUTOCRAFT SHOP (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-5755)
For do-it-yourself repairs on your car, the Autocraft Shop provides 24 work bays for most common repairs from tune-ups to body repairs and painting. Special features include safe, clean work areas, an excellent variety of tools, shop manuals, car wash facilities and a knowledgeable staff ready to offer assistance.
CENTURY LANES BOWLING CENTER (PH:803-751(DSN734)-6138)
S T R I K E ! If you enjoy the sounds of bowling balls and striking pins, then you'll have a great time at Century Lanes. Leagues and tournaments are offered year round for adults and children. Century lanes features a modern 24-lane facility with automatic scoring, pro shop and meeting/party room. Don't forget family birthday parties with Ball Wall Bumper Bowling for the little ones. After you've worked up a hunger while bowling, there is a snack bar available offering a variety of food.
CUSTOM FRAMING and WOODWORKING SHOP (803-751(DSN734)-3910)
The Custom Framing and Woodworking Shop is a full service facility with access to equipment for wood crafters. It specializes in custom framing for certificates, artworks and Andrew Jackson Statuettes that are custom made for patrons.
Woodcraft patrons can use woodworking equipment for their special one-of-a-kind wood creations, after completion of five(5) required training classes.
MARION STREET STATION (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-3484)
This facility rents all types of outdoor equipment at reasonable rates. Tents, canoes, water skis and much more are available. Information on hunting and fishing licenses.
VICTORY TRAVEL CENTER (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-5812/5804)
Victory Travel is the place to go for reduced tickets for theme parks, Biltmore estate, Columbia Riverbanks Zoo, Disney World and more. In fact, Fort Jackson's ITT is the Army's point of contact for Disney World. Capital ticket access makes it possible to purchase tickets to many cultural and sporting events at the Koger Center, Township Auditorium, Williams Brice Stadium and Carolina Coliseum, along with the University of South Carolina home football games.
POOLS (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-4796)
Open year round, Knight Indoor Pool offers lap and open swimming, swimnastics (water aerobics), swimming lessons for adults and children, lifeguard training classes, water basketball, water volleyball, Swim For Your Life program (a self paced program) and exercise equipment. Fort Jackson's outdoor pool, is located near the officers' Club and is open during the summer months. The pool is open to everyone and is available for private parties.
SPORTS BRANCH (PH:803-751(DSN734)-3096)
For the sports enthusiast, the Sports Branch offers Intramural and Post Level programs for everyone. With the four field softball complex, patton Stadium, Cole park, Semmes Road Tennis Courts and Lee Road Soccer Complex, there are games being played regularly. At Company and Battalion Levels, Intramural Sports include basketball, co-ed volleyball, flag football, men's women's and co-ed softball. For the whole community, Post Level Sports includes men's women's basketball; men's, women's and co-ed softball; men's soccer and track. In addition the Sports Branch hosts annual special events such as the Army 10-miler teams, Fabulous Magicians Basketball, Powerlifting meets and the Spring Fling Tennis Tournament.

Ft. Jackson's Youth Sports Program is a great place for youth to learn sportsmanship, practice new skills and make new friends. Youth Sports attempts to de-emphasize competition, while encouraging youths to have fun and learn fundamentals of the game. Youth can participate in sports programs throughout the year including football, basketball, softball, baseball and soccer. Special interest clinics such as roller hockey are also offered as well as nontraditional sports such as "Ultimate Frisbee."
WESTON LAKE (PH: 803-751(DSN734)-LAKE
From camping facilities to hiking and mountain bike trails, Weston lake has something for everyone year round. Weston Lake's camping facilities include camp grounds, recreational vehicle facilities and cabins, all fully equipped for an enjoyable get-away. If being on the water is your way of relaxing, the watercraft at the lake are available to rent on an hourly or daily basis. Choose from motor boats, canoes, paddle boats or even jet skis. Or how about trying out the After Hours Fisherman's Access Program. Don't let the big one get away! Weston lake also has picnic shelters, a spacious community house and a beach pavilion to provide the perfect setting for BBQs or reunions. They are all located near playgrounds and sports areas. The hiking and mountain bike trails accommodate all fitness levels so you can enjoy the scenery and wildlife. During the summer months, enjoy a cool swim at the beach after a hot day of picnicking or participating in outdoor activities. In addition, join Weston lake for some exciting outdoor trips such as deep sea fishing, snow skiing, canoeing and whitewater rafting.
THOMAS LEE HALL LIBRARY(PH:803-751(DSN734)-5589)
The Post Library has the highest volume of periodicals and the largest number of patrons in TRADOC. The library's book collection of 70,000 volumes includes general fiction, westerns, mysteries, science fiction and nonfiction titles covering a broad range of subjects. Current newspapers, magazines and reference materials are also available for reading and research. The audio-visual collection includes educational video tapes and books on audio tape. Children and young people will find a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction materials at various reading levels in their own special area.

Special Events provides great entertainment for the soldiers' leisure time that includes the annual Fourth of July Torchlight Tattoo, MWR Beach Bash and soldier concerts to name a few.
VIDEORAMA (PH:803-7904210)
Videorama provides all eligible patrons a professional quality video productions studio that can meet the needs of any customer and occasion. The customers direct the final product to meet their needs in terms of budgets and imagination. With the use of state-of-the-art equipment, Videorama will tape and edit your production or edit your own work with added narrations, graphics, special effects, photos and music. Duplication and format conversion are other available services. Appointments can be made by calling (803) 790-4210 to have your ceremony, seminar or special event videotaped. The possibilities are endless for creating a lasting memory of something important in your life!
