- Family Child Care
- Family Child Care is the care of children in the home of another person or family. All homes are inspected monthly, are insured, and meet the DOD requirements for quality childcare. A family childcare home will provide high quality care within a safe environment. In addition to attentive supervision, age appropriate activities must be offered to promote children's development.
- Physical, social/emotional and cognitive growth must all be considered. Learning experiences that offer times of discovery and feelings of success will help promote children's self-esteem. Mixed age groups allow younger and older children to learn from each other, and allow parents who have more than one child to utilize one-child care settings. Family Child Care approves, trains, licenses, and monitors professional child care providers working in their homes. Family Child Care is a high-quality alternative to center-based programs.
