Check-in Procedures

• If you are arriving at Davis-Monthan between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on normal duty days, you should immediately check in with your unit.  Your Unit Commander's Support Staff (CSS) will schedule you for mass in-processing with the Military Personnel Section. In-processing briefings are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 AM at the Professional Development Center, Bldg 2441, to the right of the BX.  All Airmen must attend in-processing within two days of arriving at D-M.  
• During in-processing, you will receive appointments for mandatory briefings including Right Start and Supervisors’ Financial training.   Right Start, an in-processing orientation that should be accomplished as part of your in-processing and not delayed. Right Start is conducted on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The location changes from time-to-time so please check with your CSS.
• After duty hours or on holidays, you must check in at the 24-hour arrival point at the Inn of Davis-Monthan, Bldg 2350, on Tenth Street.
• In addition to base in-processing, all Airmen must accomplish in-processing with their unit before taking permissive leave for house hunting.

    • This is considered "General Delivery" and should suffice until you are able to decide which Post Office (on base or near your future residence) you will be using, or whether you would prefer to be assigned a PSC box on base.
• If you get Married Enroute
  • If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures
