If Creech AFB is your "First Duty Station" following completion of a Technical School of less than 20 weeks, you may not be authorized reimbursement for the cost of temporary lodging. Check with your Finance Office and ask the Lodging Office about Temporary Lodging Expenses

Policies
It is recommended making reservations well in advance of planned arrival date. Nellis has large scale exercises throughout the year which utilizes most or all of the temporary lodging except the Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLF).
If the newcomer is married, he or she is authorized a 30 day stay in the Nellis' TLF's with confirmed reservations. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. To make a reservation they should call DSN 312-682-2711 as soon as they know when they will arrive at Nellis. Also, they should be sure to copy down the reservation confirmation number and if they are unable to get a confirmed reservation prior to arrival at Nellis they will be allowed to stay in the TLF's based on a day-to-day availability of quarters. In order for you to stay at a local hotel you must first stop by the Lodging Office for a letter of non-availability or the hotel costs could be at the guest's expense.
