Since there are no schools on the installation, children of families assigned to Hurlburt Field will be attending the schools of Okaloosa or Santa Rosa School district. Both districts provide public education for K-12 and have a variety of programs to meet the needs of our young population.
The public school system suggests that children are enrolled in school as soon as possible even if you are temporarily living in base lodging. The schools are open during the summer for administrative purposes. So, regardless of your date of arrival you can stop at the schools and enroll your children at your earliest convenience.
