On-Post Family Housing
Residing in on-post housing is voluntary, not mandatory, except for personnel assigned to Key and Essential Positions, as designated by the Installation Commander. In processing through the Housing Services Office is mandatory.
On-Post family housing is privatized and managed by Frontier Heritage Communities. All military personnel assigned to Fort Leavenworth with dependents are eligible to apply for on post housing. You may apply in advance of your arrival by going on-line or print and fax the application to 913-651-2324. The service members report date determines position on waiting lists. The only waiting list is for EnlistedHousing due to renovations.
Pets
A maximum of 4 pets (dogs or cats) in any combination is authorized per household. A Pet Deposit of $300 per pet in excess of 2 is required. Aggressive or potentially aggressive breeds of dogs are defined as Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Bull Terriers, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Chows, wolf hybrids, and crosses of these breeds are not allowed in Fort Leavenworth Family Housing.
Exceptional Family Member Housing
Frontier Heritage Communities have ADA approved homes and will work to accommodate EFM families.
