Temporary Lodging Facility
There are two options for temporary lodgings for transferring service members, their families and civilians – Deer Run Lodging and local hotels.
Deer Run Lodging
Deer Run Lodging is located in a wooded area on NWS Earle. Patrons can choose to stay in the 22 room hotel or one of 6 fully furnished townhomes. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to stay in the hotel with guests.
Local Hotels
There are many hotels in the surrounding area. Room rates vary depending upon the hotel, size of the room and time of the year.
Eligibility/Orders
All eligible patrons will be asked to present an ID card. Current military, DoD or DoT ID cards are accepted. There is no priority for PCS or TDY orders. Please plan ahead when you make your travel arrangements.
Pet Restriction
Pets are not permitted in townhomes or the hotel. Some local hotels allow pets and there are local pet boarding facilities. (See Check-in Procedures and Household Goods - Shipping Pets for more information)
Reservations/Cancellation Policy
Reservations may be made 60 days in advance. A credit card is needed to secure reservations at Deer Run Lodging. All major credit cards, cash, check or money orders are accepted for payment. There is a one day room charge for any cancellations or no shows unless the cancellation has been made with Deer Run office prior to 2 p.m. on the day before reserved date of arrival.
Check In Procedures
MWR can accept check ins Monday - Friday at the front desk, Building C-53 from 2-4 p.m. Special check in times for weekends or after hours may be arranged by calling the lodging coordinator, 732-866-2121.
