  • Child Development Center (CDC)
    • LRAFB’s Child Development programs have been created to serve the needs of our military families as they support the mission of our country. As a family oriented programs, our Child Development programs assures a quality “home away from home.” Through parent/teacher communication, we individualize each child’s care and learning opportunities. As teachers and caregivers, we believe in helping children develop a positive self-image, sense of independence, and self-discipline through developmentally appropriate activities. Our programs provide an age-appropriate Creative Curriculum that stimulates the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of each child. LRAFB CDCs are quality accredited programs that enhances a child’s development by providing children with the opportunity to discover and learn through PLAY.
    • These facilities generally offer child care for children ages six weeks to 5 years old. Care is typically available weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  CDCs vary in size.  Infant Toddler Center has spaces for 80 children ages 6 weeks through 2 years and the Child Development Center has spaces for 198 children ages 6 weeks through 5 years.  All programs must be certified by the DoD and accredited by a national accrediting body such as the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
