Randolph: Reporting Procedures

Once you arrive at Randolph AFB, report to your Commander Support Staff (CSS) with your sealed records. Upon signing in with your unit, you will be scheduled for required in processing appointments. If you or a family member needs an ID card or CAC card that will be handled through the MPF. Military members can and are encouraged to make appointments for ID cards. If you arrive after 4:30 p.m. or on a weekend or holiday, please go to Randolph's 24-hour arrival point, the Randolph Lodging office, located in building 112. Report to your CSS the next duty day. It is our goal to make your in processing go as smoothly as possible.

Fort Sam Houston: Reporting Procedures

Upon arrival at Fort Sam Houston, officers should sign in or the register at the headquarters unit or activity to which they have been assigned. Enlisted soldiers should sign in at their orderly room of the organization to which they have been assigned or attached. All soldiers, officers and enlisted, should check with their unit personnel NCO reference security processing.

Permanent Party soldiers, after signing-in at the unit, the unit will make an in-processing appointment. Soldiers will report to BLDG 2263, Room # 312 at 7:15 AM for in- processing. Soldiers will bring their Personnel Records Review, PERSTEMPO, assignment memorandum from the company, duty memorandum, leave form (DA-31) signed by approving authority, orders. What to do if you get Married enroute?

Visit the closest ID Card section and bring Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Social Security card and two forms of ID (Photo ID and Drivers' License) to get a military ID for your spouse. Check with the S-1 to do an amendment to your order before you file for any entitlements or refunds for your spouse.

Fort Sam Houston: Student Reporting Procedures

Upon arrival at Fort Sam Houston, ALL Tech School Airmen report to the Academic Support Building (ASB), building 1467. The Military Training Leaders (MTL) will give airmen further direction/scheduling to complete In-Processing.

What to do if you get Married enroute?

Check with the losing base to do an amendment to your order before you file for any entitlements or refunds for your spouse.

Reporting Procedures

Once you arrive at JBSA-Lackland, report to your Commander's Support Staff (CSS) to sign in. You will provided a schedule of required in-processing appointments including your date to attend the Newcomers Orientation briefing.

The Newcomers Orientation briefing is mandatory (except for First Term Airman)and is held every other Wednesday in the Gateway Club from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. In the high PCS months, it will be held each Wednesday. During the orientation, you will turn in your medical and dental records. A number of mandatory briefings will be completed that day.

First Term Airman

All first-term airmen are required to attend the First Term Airman Center for five days to receive orientations and briefings. They do not need to attend the Newcomers Orientation. Please wear the uniform of the day and bring at least 5 copies of orders.

Documents to Hand Carry

  • At least 15 copies of your orders
  • Copies of all insurance policies
  • Immunization records for all children and pets
  • School records for the children and high school/college transcripts for the adults
  • Certified copies of birth certificates, adoption papers, marriage licenses, divorce papers, etc.
  • Social Security cards. This is necessary to get a driver's license in Texas
  • Purchase agreements for your vehicles, showing state sales tax paid
  • Vehicle registration and title
  • Current driver's licenses
