Check-in Procedures
Inprocessing Procedures
New arrivals are assigned a sponsor to provide assistance with the PCS move, however NDSTC students are not normally assigned sponsors. If you are making a PCS relocation and have not been assigned a sponsor, call your gaining command. Sponsors provide members with complete inprocessing information.
Service members report to the Customer Service Desk (CSD) (Bldg. 110) on arrival to get personnel and financial records established. Service members must report in duty uniform. Uniform of the Day information is provided by CSD upon request. When departing CSD, member reports to the Administrative Office of the activity to which they are assigned. This office provides newcomer orientation and indoctrination information.
On the first working day after arrival or if arrival date is a work day, service members will report to their Unit Administrative Office.
NSA Panama City Reporting Procedures
Building 308 (Admin Office, 850-234-4523/DSN 312-436-4523). This office will provide Newcomer Orientation and Indoctrination Information and any further instructions.
Service Members must bring with them: PCS orders, Personnel Records, Pay Records, Dental and Medical files.
Uniform Requirements for Inprocessing: Members must report wearing either summer dress whites or dress blue.
Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) Student Reporting Procedures
Students arriving between the hours of 5:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. seven days a week, report to NDSTC (Bldg 350). Upon the first work day report to the NDSTC Quarterdeck. Students shall report in the proper uniform of the day.
If you are reporting prior to the convening date of your course, report to the Student Control Office at NDSTC to begin your check-in procedure. If you are reporting on the convening date of your course, report to the NDSTC Quarterdeck to find out where your class is located and inform your Proctor that you need to check-in at Student Control.
TAD students must bring their orders, medical and dental records to NDSTC's Student Control Office to begin their check-in. PCS students are additionally required to bring their service record as well.
If you have administrative problems, please advise your proctor and come to student control for assistance
NEDU Reporting Procedures
Personnel assigned to NEDU should report directly to NEDU Administration Office (Bldg. 321) prior to reporting to PSD.
NSWC Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) Reporting Procedures
Upon arrival to NSWC PCD report to the Military Liaison Representative, Building 110, 2nd Floor, Room 2M23 (Admin Office, 850-636-6257/DSN 436-6257). This office will provide assistance in completing travel claims, PCS entitlements, and start command check in process.
All Service Members must provide the following: Service Record, Medical Record, Dental Record, PCS Orders with Detaching Endorsements, Transfer Fitness Report/Evaluation, Airline Tickets and all applicable receipts involving PCS Transfer.

Documents to Hand Carry
Keep copies of all important papers these should include: orders, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, ID cards, insurance cards, etc. Keep your sponsor, quarterdeck, and command ombudsman phone numbers with you at all times.
Travel Planning
Make lodging reservations in advance; make kennel arrangements for pets if you will be staying in the military lodge system or hotel/motels that are not pet friendly. Keep important travel numbers with you such as your sponsor, Red Cross, Navy Marine Corp Relief Society (NMCRS) Fleet and Family Support Centers (FFSC) and remember to have fun and be safe!
What to do if you get Married en route
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
