Child Development Center (CDC)
The CDC program is led by qualified professionals in Early Childhood Education, whose major goal is to promote your child's growth and development in a nurturing environment through meaningful learning experiences. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, keeping in mind the specific needs of each individual child. Activities are planned, however these plans are flexible depending on the daily interests and needs of the children. Children are invited and encouraged to participate in individual and group activities designed to promote social, emotional, intellectual (cognitive), and physical development. The CDC serves children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The Naval Submarine Base New London is certified by the Department of Defense and is regulated by the Navy as well as accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The New London CDCs are located off base in Buildings 186, 386 and 383 and can be reached at 860-448-6838.
