Recreational Facilities
The mission of MWR Mid-Atlantic Region is to provide physical fitness, recreational food and beverage, child development programs in an efficient and responsible manner for all eligible patrons in the (Hampton Roads) Mid-Atlantic region. Operations benefit individuals physical, emotional, social and mental well being, thereby, increasing satisfaction with military life contributing directly to Fleet readiness and retention.
The following services are available on base: Aquatics, Automotive Skills, Bowling Centers, Clubs and Restaurants, CrafTech Hobby Store, Gymnasiums, Internet Service, ITT Office, Main Gate Movies, Marina, Picnic Reservations, Single Sailor, and Wood Shop. Chaplain's Office
The Command Religious Program supports the command mission by fostering spiritual readiness for military personnel and their family members assigned to the Norfolk area. Chaplains' ministries are aimed at providing hope and encouragement born of spirituality and faith, through ministries appropriate to the rights and needs of members of the command, their dependents, and other authorized personnel.
The chapels are located in building C-7, on the Naval Station. Chaplains are located in Frazier Hall (Bldg. C-7, inside Gate 2). Our telephone number is (757) 444-7361. The duty chaplain can be reached after working hours through the Naval station quarterdeck at (757) 322-2365.
