BOOK YOUR LOCAL HOTEL HERE On-post temporary lodging at Fort Irwin is in Landmark Inn. The closest hotels and motels to the base are in Yermo and Barstow, about 25 miles south of Fort Irwin along I-15.
Reporting Procedures
All Soldiers arriving at the National Training Center (NTC) must report to the AG Replacement Detachment to begin inprocessing. The Replacement Detachment will provide temporary lodging for unaccompanied Soldiers E1-E6 during the inprocessing cycle. The AG Replacement Detachment is located in building 109 Landlord Lane, Fort Irwin, CA 92310. The telephone numbers are 760-380-9095/4747/3006; DSN 312-470-9095/4747/3006.
Soldiers should bring their leave form, 201 file, finance records, medical and dental records and 5 copies of their orders.
The AG Replacement Detachment can provide you with information about the best mode of transportation from servicing airports. The Replacement Detachment is open 24 hours daily. A Mandatory Newcomers Briefing is held every Wednesday at the AG Replacement unless otherwise noted. We encourage family members to attend the orientation.
All newly arrived Soldiers must attend the Key Leader Newcomers Briefing. If you have completed all in-processing, and signed into your unit, you MUST return to Bldg 109 on Wednesday Morning to attend the command briefing.
For those families that are staying in Barstow, Victorville area, or the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) there is a satellite Army Community Service (ACS) located on 512 Barstow called the Military Connection & Resource Center (MCRC) at 760-256-1735.
Both ACS (Bldg 548, Fort Irwin) and MCRC offer a Lending Closet with items to include kitchenware, flatware, dinnerware, glassware, folding mats, microwaves, card tables w/chairs and some baby items. There is no furniture or linens to be loaned out. All items are to be loaned out for approximately 30 days or on a case by case basis.
