Inprocessing Procedures
If you are arriving by commercial airline and your sponsor is not available to meet you, call your squadron orderly room for assistance. Single and unaccompanied airman's (E-1-E-4) 24-hour arrival point is the Roosevelt Inn.
Inprocessing begins at your unit. Immediately upon arrival at Ellsworth, report to your sponsor or unit orderly room. Your unit will direct you to Military Personnel Flight (MPF) for your Right Start orientation (please bring your spouse -- there is a lot information specifically for them) briefings or First Term Airmen's Center. Prior to inprocessing at the MPF, your orderly room must have forwarded your personnel file. If you have government-issued passports for your dependents, they (the passports, not your dependents!) must be brought with you to MPF inprocessing. During inprocessing you will be scheduled for a finance appointment and any applicable ancillary training, as well as receive assistance in filing your travel voucher. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend. Appointments are monitored by your unit.
*Notify the Transportation Management Office (TMO) of your arrival to check on your household goods. Meet with your sponsor and report to the Pinetree Inn (temporary lodging facility). You may also want to take the opportunity to meet your new supervisor, see your work center and meet some of your co-workers.
Married Servicemembers
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
